November meeting

On a crisp November evening, we gathered for the year’s penultimate club meeting, with Dave determined not to break his attendance streak. Hospitalised, but undeterred, he joined us by video to say a warm hello. The Christmas party was a hot topic, and it was agreed that we’d still hold our regular December get-together on top of the festivities.

This month’s Michael Fletcher Award went to Angela Forster, though she couldn’t make it, so Gary accepted on her behalf. Angela’s recent post about Gary working on the Defender had sparked a lot of chatter—mainly, curiosity about what repairs were underway and why his mug appeared, suspiciously, empty. To remedy this, the MF Cup came humorously stocked with a pack of tea bags, a little insurance to avoid any future mug mishaps!
