Christmas Meal

The spirit of the season shone bright on Saturday 7 December as members braved the blustery winds of Storm Darragh to gather for the annual Christmas meal. This year’s event was hosted at The Deli in Caerphilly, a venue chosen by Tom and Sandra, whose buffet suggestion turned out to be a resounding success.

With a cozy atmosphere and delectable dishes, The Deli charmed attendees. The owners and staff were praised for their warm hospitality, and the spread was so abundant that some guests were seen departing with doggy bags. While they claimed the leftovers were for their pets, whispers suggest they were preparing for a second helping later!

The evening also featured the annual Christmas charity raffle, with all going home happy with their winnings! Members will soon select a new cause to support in the coming year, continuing our commitment to giving back.

Looking ahead, there’s still time to join in the festive fun. Our final pub meet of the year is scheduled for Tuesday 10 December, with some members intending to impress with their car-mounted light displays in the car park — a dazzling treat not to be missed. For those unable to attend in person, yet still wishing to catch up with club members before the year is out, there are always our Friday Zoom meetings!

Whether you join in person or online, we heartily wish you a very Merry Christmas and offer our best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year. Here’s to making memories and spreading joy in the year ahead!
