A few weeks ago the sun came  out briefly, which can mean only one thing - Spring is here, and with it the start of the car show season! Dust off your flasks, deck-chairs and waterproofs!

As always for South Wales Land Rover Club, the first show of the year is Singleton Park in Swansea on May Day Bank Holiday (Monday 1 May)! For those of you that haven't been before, the park is lovely, and there are few better places to be on a beautiful sunny day! Doors open to the public at 10.00am. Admittedly we have had some shockingly wet days there, but that just makes the club even more popular when it's time to leave and other clubs and sellers become stuck and need a tow! (A service that we happily provide for free - or better still for a dontaion to our chosen charity - Wales Air Ambulance).

There has been a change to this year's show in as much as only pre-1988 cars can take part, unless their club is affiliated to the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs. Luckily we are affiliated to this, so if your favourite vehicle is a Discovery then you'll still be able to see them on our stand. (That said, we're a little sad that this may result in us not seeing some of our favourite vehicles on other club stands).

As always, our stand will have the kettle going, and biscuits on hand, so if you're passing  please stop and say hello! The marquee will be up to shield us from the constant sunshine!

One word of warning though - if it's a nice day then try and beat the crowds home - it's a very long and busy road out of Swansea on a bank holiday!
